Practical support

We provide a range of practical support

The most fundamental form of practical support is our Sight Awareness course for people. This is often most needed at the point of initial diagnosis but people still come to the course later than this. To go to our Sight Awareness for Everyone page and find out more please click Sight Awareness

We also have a resource centre where you can try out equipment that can assist you in your daily living e.g. talking microwaves, magnifiers and talking clocks. To go to our Resource Centre page, please click Resource Centre

NSBP are agents for British Wireless for the Blind Fund.  To go to the webpage for the Fund and find out more please click Wireless for the Blind

Our Vision Support Worker project enables visually impaired people to do for themselves those basic day to day tasks that they would otherwise have to ask another person to do for them. To go to the webpage on this project  and find out more please click  Vision Support Workers

We also have Ring Round where volunteers make a a weekly phone call to service users to see if they are OK and have a chat . To go to the webpage on this service  and find out more please click Ring around
